Big4's is a mobile repair bench at the FMB Radio Station in Brikama. We open at nine in the morning and we close at ten at night, seven days a week — because phones don't break on a schedule. Most screens and batteries are done the same day, while you wait.

We've been fixing phones out of Brikama for years — the ones people bring in from Serrekunda, Bwiam, Sanyang and the Kombo villages. No appointment, no queue ticket, no "come back next week." You bring the phone, we open it in front of you, tell you what's wrong and what it costs, and you decide. If we can't fix it, you don't pay.

Screen & display replacement
Cracked glass, dead touch, lines across the panel, black spots spreading from a corner. We fit a new display assembly and test touch, brightness and the front camera before you pay.

Battery replacement
Phone dying by lunchtime, shutting off at 30%, swelling and lifting the back cover. Genuine-capacity cells, fitted and charged to full so you can see the health reading yourself.

Charging port & cable faults
Won't charge unless you hold the cable at an angle, charges slowly, or only charges when switched off. Usually a worn port or a dirty connector — we clean first, replace only if it's genuinely gone.

Phones locked to a network, forgotten screen patterns and PINs, Google and iCloud account locks on devices you own and can prove ownership of. Bring ID and the original receipt or box where you have it.

Water damage recovery
Dropped in the sea at Sanyang, or in a bucket at home. Don't charge it and don't switch it on — bring it wet. We strip it, ultrasonic-clean the board and dry it properly. Recovery isn't guaranteed, but the odds are far better if it reaches us the same day.

There's no back room. The bench is right there at the counter, so you see your phone opened, see the part that failed, and see the new one go in. If a shop won't let you watch, ask yourself why.
We keep common screens and batteries in stock for the handsets people actually carry around here — Tecno, Infinix, itel, Samsung, Redmi, iPhone. If we don't have your part, we'll tell you the day it lands rather than keeping your phone for a week with no news.

How long does a screen take?
Most common models are 45 minutes to an hour if the part is in stock. Unusual handsets might need the part ordered in — we'll give you a day, not a vague "soon."
Do I need an appointment?
No. Walk in any day between 9 AM and 10 PM. If you're coming from outside Brikama, call first so we can confirm the part is on the shelf.
Will I lose my photos and messages?
Not on a screen, battery or port repair — those don't touch your storage. For software work we'll back up first where the phone still boots, and we'll say clearly if a backup isn't possible.
Can you unlock a phone I bought second-hand?
Yes, if you can show it's yours — bring ID and whatever paperwork you have. We won't unlock a device that looks stolen, and we'll tell you straight if that's the case.
What if the repair doesn't work?
You don't pay. If a fault comes back inside 30 days, bring it in and we'll redo the work at no charge.
